Are some dog breeds prone to cancer than others? The simple answer to this question is “Yes!” However, explaining why some dogs are more likely to get cancer is more complex. It's true, as commonly thought, that some dog breeds are more prone to cancer than others. However, there are a plethora of other risk factors that can contribute to cancer in dogs. No one can predict which dogs will get cancer but being aware if your dog is at high risk may alert you to be more vigilant.
